Rock
Doves: The doves that are released are called Rock Doves.
These doves are also known as racing homing pigeons. They
are able to navigate their way home using magnetic fields.
Throughout time, these doves have been used in wars to relay
messages and have essentially saved peoples lives. They
most recently have been used in a growing trend of dove
releases for special events.
Many studies have been conducted at several universities,
involving the research of how these intelligent birds navigate.
It has been discovered that a certain substance in their
brain called magnetite helps them navigate their way back
home using the earth's magnetic fields.
Fantail
Doves: Fantail Doves are beautiful creatures, which
are of a fancier breed of doves and are available for display
only. These tails of these doves fan out, thus how they
received their name. Also note that these doves have feathers
on their feet.
Turtle Doves: The Turtle dove is also known as the
love dove. They are smaller than the others and have a calm
and peaceful nature. These doves are also only available
for display.
All of the United Doves are white doves and are important
to us. You may often hear the sweet sound of the doves cooing
to each other.
We keep these doves vaccinated as to provide the best health
for them as we possibly can. Many hours of training and
care go towards the well-being of each dove.
